일정표

Day 1
Ulaanbaatar to Baga Gazriin Chuluu
Leave Ulaanbaatar in the morning and begin your journey south, watching the city gradually disappear into Mongolia's vast open steppe. Your first destination is Baga Gazriin Chuluu, an impressive area of granite mountains, rocky valleys and unusual formations rising from the surrounding grasslands. After arriving, settle into a small family-run guesthouse and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, explore the granite landscape on foot. Walk between weathered rocks and through peaceful valleys, with plenty of opportunities for photography and panoramic views across the steppe. It is a gentle introduction to the scale and solitude of rural Mongolia. Return to your hosts for dinner and your first night in a traditional ger. **Driving:** Approx. 250 km
숙박: Family-run traditional ger guesthouse
Day 2
Baga Gazriin Chuluu to Yolyn Am
After breakfast, continue south into the Gobi. Stop in Mandalgovi, the capital of Dundgovi Province, for lunch and a glimpse of everyday life in a provincial Mongolian town. From here, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic as you enter the Gobi Gurvansaikhan region and travel toward Yolyn Am, or Eagle Valley. Unlike the stereotypical image of the Gobi as an endless sandy desert, Yolyn Am is a deep mountain gorge surrounded by rugged cliffs. Hike into the valley, following the narrow path between the mountains and watching for marmots, birds of prey and other wildlife. Argali sheep and foxes also inhabit the region, although wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. After your hike, continue to a local ger camp for dinner and a quiet evening in the Gobi. **Driving:** Approx. 400 km
숙박: Traditional ger camp
Day 3
Yolyn Am to Khongoryn Els Singing Dunes
Travel deeper into the Gobi toward one of its most spectacular landscapes: **Khongoryn Els**, the Singing Sand Dunes. The enormous dune system rises dramatically from the flat desert floor, with mountains visible beyond it. Meet a local camel-herding family and experience riding a two-humped Bactrian **camel**, the camels of Mongolia's Gobi region. Ride toward the dunes before exploring them on foot. Those who want a challenge can remove their shoes and climb high onto the sandy ridge for a sweeping view over the desert. The climb can be demanding, but the panorama from above is one of the highlights of the journey. Return to your hosts and enjoy khorkhog, a traditional Mongolian dish prepared using heated stones. **Driving:** Approx. 200 km
숙박: Ger stay with a local camel-herding family
Day 4
Khongoryn Els to Bayanzag Flaming Cliffs
After breakfast, continue across the Gobi toward Bayanzag, stopping around Bulgan village for lunch. Bayanzag is famous for its striking red and orange sandstone formations and for the important dinosaur discoveries made in this region. The cliffs become particularly atmospheric in the softer light of late afternoon, giving rise to the name Flaming Cliffs. Visit the local museum to learn about the expeditions and fossil discoveries that brought international attention to the area, as well as the Gobi's natural environment. Afterwards, walk through the sandstone landscape and along viewpoints overlooking the cliffs. There will be time to explore and take photographs before settling into your ger camp. **Driving:** Approx. 200 km
숙박: Traditional ger camp
Day 5
Leaving the Gobi and heading to Central Mongolia
Today marks a transition in the journey as you leave the southern Gobi and begin travelling north into Övörkhangai Province. This is a longer road-travel day, but the drive itself is part of the experience. Watch the colours and vegetation gradually change as arid desert landscapes give way to wider grasslands and greener steppe. Stop in a provincial town and visit a local market, where Mongolians shop for food, household goods, clothing and everyday necessities. It is an opportunity to experience an ordinary side of Mongolia away from its tourist attractions. Continue to your hotel and enjoy a comfortable evening after several nights in the Gobi. **Driving:** Approx. 320 km

Day 6
Kharkhorin, Erdene Zuu & Tsenkher Hot Springs
Travel to Kharkhorin, near the site of ancient Karakorum, the 13th-century capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit the Kharkhorin Museum, where archaeological objects and exhibits introduce the history of the former imperial capital and Mongolia's role at the heart of a vast empire. Continue to Erdene Zuu Monastery, founded in the 16th century and one of Mongolia's most historically important Buddhist sites. Walk among its temples, stupas and monastery walls while learning about Mongolian Buddhism and the country's religious history. After lunch, leave the historic steppe behind and continue into the increasingly green landscapes of Arkhangai Province. Arrive at Tsenkher Hot Springs, where naturally heated geothermal water is cooled into bathing pools. Spend the evening soaking in the warm outdoor pools surrounded by hills and countryside. **Driving:** Approx. 240 km
숙박: Ger camp
Day 7
Tsenkher Hot Springs to the Orkhon Valley
Enjoy a slower morning and another opportunity to relax in the hot springs before continuing toward the Orkhon Valley. The Orkhon Valley is much more than a scenic destination. The wider cultural landscape has been recognized by UNESCO for its long history of nomadic pastoralism and its importance to successive Central Asian civilizations. Today, herder families continue to graze their livestock across the valley much as generations did before them. The landscape is striking: rolling grassland, volcanic rock, mountains and the Orkhon River winding through pastures where horses, sheep, goats, cattle and yaks graze. Meet a local nomadic family and settle into a traditional ger beside their home. Depending on the season and the family's daily routine, you may see livestock being tended, dairy products being prepared and other aspects of rural life. Spend the evening with your hosts and enjoy dinner surrounded by one of central Mongolia's most beautiful landscapes. **Driving:** Approx. 160 km
숙박: Traditional ger with a nomadic family
Day 8
Orkhon Valley Horse Riding & Khustai National Park
After breakfast, experience the Orkhon Valley from horseback. Horses remain deeply connected to Mongolian culture and rural life, and riding through the open valley offers a very different perspective on the landscape. Your local horse guide will introduce you to your horse and provide basic instructions before setting out. After the ride, begin the journey east toward Khustai National Park, crossing another long stretch of central Mongolia by road. After arriving, visit the Takhi Museum to learn about the remarkable conservation story of the Przewalski's horse, known in Mongolian as the takhi. Around late afternoon or evening, drive deeper into the park to search for the wild horses. They are free-roaming animals, so sightings cannot be guaranteed, but evening and early morning often provide good opportunities for wildlife observation. If necessary, another search can be made the following morning. **Driving:** Approx. 300 km
숙박: Traditional ger accommodation near Khustai
Day 9
Khustai to Chinggis Khaan Statue & Terelj
After breakfast, continue east toward Tsonjin Boldog and the enormous Chinggis Khaan Statue. Explore the museum inside the complex and learn more about Mongolian history and culture before climbing through the structure to the viewing platform overlooking the surrounding steppe. Continue to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, where the scenery changes once again. Granite mountains, forested hills and broad river valleys make Terelj distinctly different from both the Gobi and the central steppe. Visit Turtle Rock, a huge natural granite formation resembling a turtle, before taking a short uphill hike to Aryabal Meditation Temple. From the hillside, enjoy views across the national park and spend some time in the peaceful Buddhist temple. Finish the day at your ger camp in Terelj. **Driving:** Approx. 150 km
숙박: Ger camp
Day 10
Terelj to Ulaanbaatar & Farewell
Enjoy your final breakfast together at the ger camp before leaving the Mongolian countryside and returning to Ulaanbaatar. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have some free time in the city before your airport transfer. Your journey concludes with transfer to Chinggis Khaan International Airport according to your flight schedule.
