This is more than a sightseeing tour—you will live in a traditional ger, share meals with a local family, participate in daily activities, and experience the peaceful rhythm of life on the Mongolian steppe. Your host family consists of an elderly couple, their four grandchildren. Their home is surrounded by beautiful countryside and four hectares of sea buckthorn orchards, offering a peaceful escape from busy city life.

Day by day

Day 1
Ulaanbaatar – Elsen Tasarkhai – Nomadic Family
In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Ulaanbaatar and take you to the bus terminal. You will receive your bus ticket and travel approximately 5 hours across the vast Mongolian steppe. Upon arrival, your nomadic host family will meet you at the bus station and take you directly to Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dunes. There, you can experience the Mongolian desert landscape with activities such as camel riding and sand sledging. After exploring the dunes, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and have the opportunity to taste traditional Mongolian food. After lunch, your host family will take you to their home. You will be welcomed with traditional Mongolian milk tea and shown to your own ger. Spend the evening relaxing, exploring the surrounding countryside, or getting to know your host family. Dinner will be shared with the family.

Day 2
Live like a Nomad
The family wakes up early to take care of the daily activities. After breakfast, you are welcome to participate in the family's daily activities: - Milking cows or mares - Feeding livestock - Collecting dried dung for fuel - Preparing traditional dairy products - Making Mongolian milk tea - Learning how a traditional ger is organized - Herding livestock with the family You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you wish. All meals will be shared with the family, giving you an authentic taste of Mongolian home cooking and hospitality.

Day 3
Experience Nomadic Culture
After breakfast, enjoy another relaxed day in the countryside. You can continue helping the family with their daily activities or choose to explore and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Optional activities include - Traditional Mongolian games - Photography - Hiking - Helping with livestock. This flexible day allows you to experience spending meaningful time with your host family.

Day 4
Return to Ulaanbaatar
After your final lunch with the family, your hosts will drive you to the local bus station in Rashaant. They will make sure you safely board your bus for the approximately 5-hour journey back to Ulaanbaatar. You will arrive at Dragon Bus Terminal in Ulaanbaatar at approximately 15:00–16:00, marking the end of your Mongolian nomadic family experience.
